The grant is open to the following countries:
Nigeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cabo Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo.

Categories of the Grant
The AGriDI grant is split into three categories:
- Co-development and adaptation of digital innovative solutions to enhance agricultural productivity.
- Development of digital innovative solutions for establishing market linkages for farmers’ produce.
- Development of policies to support digital innovation in the agriculture sector.
For each project, the grant budget ranges from EUR 150,000 to EUR 300,000, with a grant period of up to 15 months from the date of award.

Keep in mind that the submission deadline is May 31, 2023, with the expected date of publication of the award decision being June 30, 2023.
AGriDI’s Goals
AGriDI aims to catalyze the use of agri-based digital technologies in West Africa and amplify the innovation process. By providing increased access to information and technology, digital technology can simplify and enhance the processes for farmers and small business owners.
This includes women and young people, to create and market their products and services, thus improving their income.
AGriDI seeks to increase the understanding, adoption, and use of digital agri technologies by farmers, SMEs, particularly women and young people. Furthermore, the initiative aims to bolster partnerships between research communities, businesses, and policymakers while improving the regulatory environment.
It aligns with the STISA of the African Union 2024 and ECOWAS national policies and plans for STI and ICT.
